On a rainy day or every winter, if a village is threatened by the Beas river or the rising water of the rivers and streams, then the village of Patlikul in Kullu, where the people are forced to live in a panic today.

When the water of the Beas river rises or the cloudbursts in the river drains, every time the village of Patlikuhl has always suffered before the last few years.

Late Wednesday night, again, due to cloudburst in Badgran Nallah, the villagers have suffered heavy losses due to which many houses have been damaged once again. The whole village kept awake from four o’clock in the morning till late in the morning, Where people left their homes in the night due to fear of water, they came to take shelter of their loved ones.

In such a situation, every time when the flood comes, the people of the village remind the scene of the flood in 1995. During that time so many people had to evacuate the village.

For many days it took people to clean their houses. Crores were lost in the village. During the floods of 1995, half of the houses of many people were submerged in water, which even today, when the fish farm’s water rises, it easily enters the lower floor in their homes.

Saved Life Of A Person Trapped In Flood

The staff of the outpost located at Ani fire brigade department has shown courage by taking out a safe carrier to a person trapped in the flood.

According to the information, a person named Ramesh Thakur had landed in the Jalodari Khad passing behind the Ani bus base to get relief from the hot heat and sat on the stone to take the cool breeze of the river, meanwhile, the river suddenly flooded and Ramesh got stuck in the middle of the flood.

When the fire department employees came to know about this, they took the four-step lead to the spot. The crews started the rescue work led by SP Bisht, in-charge of the fire post, Ani, and showing his courage, climbed the ladder in the flood and took out the trapped person safely.
