The district administration has planned to build a marketing complex around Gagal Airport.

Instructions have been given to select the land for this, so that shopkeepers can be rehabilitated.

On Monday, a review meeting was held on the process of expansion of Gagal Airport in the Deputy Commissioner Office.

Presiding over this, Deputy Commissioner Kangra Hemraj Bairwa said that it is proposed to construct a 12-12 meter road all around the airport. For this, SDM has also given necessary guidelines.

This type of draft was prepared for the airport expansion that at least people should be displaced.

Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa has also asked SDM Kangra and SDM Shahpur to give compensation amount to eligible people under the rules and focus on the rehabilitation plan so that no one is inconvenienced.

The Deputy Commissioner has also asked the development block officer to prepare a record of the properties of the panchayat coming in the expansion of the airport etc.

Along with this, we have also asked to make a record of muds and paths. He said that with the construction of a big airport, cargo ships will also land with large ships.
